POSITION/TITLE: Sales Analyst
LOCATION: Johns Creek, GA
DEPARTMENT: Sales
REPORTS TO: Director, Sales Optimization and Planning
POSITION SUMMARY: The Sales Analyst position is responsible for supporting the business development team in retaining and growing business by performing superior support services and reporting. This role will serve as an advocate to manage and create innovative solutions to make our business development team more efficient.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Compile and analyze data over time to forecast sales trends
•Review past sales data to determine trends in productivity
•Prepare accurate reports using data from internal and external sources
•Evaluate third-party data to determine best practices for company success
•Present actionable information and insights to team members and management
•Gather and analyze data in order to understand problems and address them proactively
•Collaborate with team members and members of other departments
•Conduct market research to identify customer trends, competitor offerings and demographic data
•Monitoring and analyzing competitive activity, customer, and market trends
•Contributing to the development of sales plans and objectives
•Monitoring and evaluating sales performance
•Forecasting demand, revenue, and expenses
•Determining sales potential and making recommendations
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
•Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant business field is required
•5 years of sales experience in sales or operations
•Demonstrated data-analysis methods and techniques
•Strong communication and presentation skills
•Strategic mindset
• Proven research skills to locate, extract, organize, and evaluate swathes of data (internal and external)
•Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with clients and maintain a robust client database
•Experience using a CRM tool (Salesforce.com preferred)
•Knowledge of Microsoft Office products, specifically MS Word, MS PowerPoint and MS Excel
